Assignment for the General Magistrate Juvenile Division
Judicial Review Hearings in Divisions JO, JL, JM and JK
Please routinely check the divisional instructions for any changes. Please direct all communications to CAD-JRScheduling@pbcgov.org. The subject line for all emails must contain the Case Number the inquiry pertains to.
All Court Appearances are In-Person Only Requests to appear via zoom will be considered on a case by case basis, with the exceptions listed below.
- Children may always appear by zoom.
- Caregivers, excluding parents, may always appear by zoom.
- Incarcerated parents may always appear by zoom.
In all other instances, procedures to request appearances via zoom shall be made as follows:
- Email sent to CAD-JRScheduling@pbcgov.org and copied to counsel for all parties.
- Include the case number in the subject line.
- Include the reason the attorney or individual cannot appear in person.
- Send the email request at least 48 hours prior to the hearing date. Requests to appear via zoom sent less than 48 hours prior to the hearing may not allow time for the Magistrate to review and respond to the request.
Procedures for requests for continuances, for any reason other than an untimely filed judicial review social studies report, are as follows:
- If all parties agree you may email the request to CAD-JRScheduling@pbcgov.org.
- The email must be copied to counsel for all parties.
- The email must include the case number in the subject line and the reason for the request for a continuance.
- If the request for a continuance is approved, the Magistrate's assistant will provide a new hearing date and time.
- It is the moving party's responsibility to attach a proposed order, in Word format with the new court date.
- The proposed order shall be provided to the Magistrate via email to CAD-JRScheduling@pbcgov.org. DO NOT PROVIDE THE ORDER TO THE DIVISION JUDGE.
- If any party objects to the request for a continuance you must file a motion to continue and request a hearing date and time via email at CAD-JRScheduling@pbcgov.org.
New Calendar Beginning October 1, 2024
Beginning October 1, 2024 the division hearing dates are modified as follows:
- Each division will have only three court dates a month. Additionally, for months that have five weeks, no hearing will be scheduled on the fifth week of the month, except when required to accommodate court holidays.

Interpreters
- It is the responsibility of the party who requires an interpreter to make arrangements for one.
