We are pleased to announce that Karina Rodriguez-Matzen has been selected to serve as the next Trial Court Administrator for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit. A selection committee which consisted of the Chief Judge, several judges, current Trial Court Administrator and Chief Deputy Court Administrator, recommended Ms. Rodriguez-Matzen to the Circuit's judiciary after a nationwide search. Per Rule 2.215(d), the candidate's selection was conferred by vote by a majority of the Circuit's judges.
Ms. Rodriguez-Matzen joined the Palm Beach County Clerk & Comptroller's Office in 2017 and was promoted to Director of Civil Court Operations in 2021. She is a member of both the Florida and California Bars and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2004. Prior to joining the Clerk & Comptroller's Office, Ms. Rodriguez-Matzen served as an Attorney with the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence; an Assistant Attorney General with the Office of the Attorney General, Child Support Enforcement Division, in Fort Lauderdale; a Senior Assistant Family Law Facilitator/Staff Attorney with the Superior Court of California; and a Staff Attorney with the Family and Children's Law Center in San Rafael, California.
