The Selection Panel has chosen Ms. Kelly Rowley to serve as General Counsel for the Circuit. Ms. Rowley, who is currently a Senior Supervising Staff Attorney, will begin her General Counsel duties tomorrow, September 25, 2024. In her role as General Counsel, Ms. Rowley’s responsibilities are extensive and diverse, and include the provision of legal counsel to the Chief Judge and Court Administrator, the handling of public records requests, providing assistance with employment issues, responding to the legal needs of the judiciary, and supervising the Trial Court Law Clerk Program.
Ms. Rowley was first employed with the Circuit as a Trial Court Law Clerk from 2016 - 2018. She then served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Bruce E. Reinhart followed by employment as a Pro Se Law Clerk with the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, West Palm Beach from 2018 – 2021. She also served as an Attorney with the Florida House of Representatives in Tallahassee and was employed as an Associate Attorney with Atherton Galardi Mullen & Reeder PLLC, West Palm Beach. In July of 2022, the Circuit hired Ms. Rowley to serve as a Supervising Senior Staff Attorney.
Ms. Rowley holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, History, and Journalism from Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, NC and graduated, cum laude, with her Juris Doctor from University of Miami, Coral Gables.
