The Palm Beach County Adult Drug Court Program is a judicially-supervised drug treatment program which provides substance abuse treatment to nonviolent, adult, drug-involved felony defendants. Participants must be Palm Beach County residents and available for counseling services, random drug testing, and close supervision by the Drug Court Judge and Team for a term determined by the clinical needs of each participant (typically one year). A participant may not currently be on probation or parole, and may not have any other open cases. Upon successful completion of the Drug Court program, the participant's charge(s) will be dismissed and first-time offenders' records may be sealed or expunged.
All Adult Drug Court hearings are held at the Criminal Justice Complex on Gun Club Road in West Palm Beach on Mondays and Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. Graduation ceremonies are also held once each month at the Criminal Justice Complex. Each participant is required to pay $20.00 per week to help offset the cost of treatment and drug testing.
Judge Donald Hafele presides over the Adult Drug Court.
