Court Appointed Attorney New and Renewal Applications

The process is decentralized. There are four areas all requiring a separate application. Please see the instructions below for New Attorneys, and Active/ Renewal Attorneys

  • Adult Criminal (felony and misdemeanors).
  • Juvenile Delinquency (felony and misdemeanors).
  • Juvenile Dependency / Children with Special Needs
  • Guardianship/Mental Health/Other Civil Matters

Applications will only be accepted online.

  • There will be a specially designated email address to send the applications. This email address will be noted in the application.
  • No paper applications will be accepted.

New Court Appointed Attorneys

NEW Dependency Application 2024

Submit Application

  1. Complete the corresponding application located under "New Court Appointed Attorneys"
  2. Once completed, please submit your application with any corresponding documents to the email address designated in the application. Please double check the email address before sending.

JAC renewal contracts MUST be executed by June 15 of each year to remain on the court appointed registry. Renewals coincide with the state's fiscal year (July 1-June 30). Failure to execute a renewal contract may result in you being removed from the court appointed attorney registry.

If you are removed from the court appointed registry at your request or due to failure to execute a JAC contract, you will need to reapply during the next registration period.
