Court Appointed Attorneys

THE 2017-2018 INTAKE IS NOW CLOSED

The process is decentralized. There are four areas all requiring a separate application.

  • Adult Criminal (felony and misdemeanors).
  • Juvenile Delinquency (felony and misdemeanors).
  • Juvenile Dependency / Children with Special Needs
  • Guardianship/Mental Health/Other Civil Matters

Applications will only be accepted online.

  • There will be a specially designated email address to send the applications. This email address will be noted in the application.
  • No paper applications will be accepted.

New Court Appointed Attorneys

Submit Application

  1. Complete an application located under "Applications-New Attorneys"
  2. Once completed, please submit your application with any corresponding documents to the email address designated in the application.

JAC renewal contracts MUST be executed by July 1 of each year to remain on the court appointed registry. Renewals coincide with the state's fiscal year (July 1-June 30). Failure to execute a renewal contract may result in you being removed from the court appointed attorney registry.

If you are removed from the court appointed registry at your request or due to failure to execute a JAC contract, you will need to reapply during the next registration period.

Active Court Appointed Attorneys

To renew your status on the Court Appointed Attorney Wheel
Please complete the short form application under "Renewal Applications-Current Approved Attorneys" and submit your CLE Credits from the Florida Bar to the email addresses designated in the application.

To add any additional categories
Follow the application instructions as outlined above and complete an application during the May 1-May 15 application period.

If you wish to be removed from categories/locations for which you are currently approved and active
Send an email to msansone@pbcgov.org for criminal and juvenile delinquency wheels or scurtis@pbcgov.org for guardianship, dependency or children with special needs wheels.

To change an address and/or phone number
Email changes to msansone@pbcgov.org for criminal and juvenile delinquency attorneys or scurtis@pbcgov.org for guardianship, dependency and children with special needs attorneys.
